Rainbow Snow Cones
A Fun Winter Sensory Activity for Kids!
Winter is the perfect time to engage your little ones in creative and sensory-rich activities. My boys (2 & 4) love bringing the snow inside and their favorite activity is making Rainbow Snow Cones, you can check out my Instagram reel here
What You'll Need:
- Fresh, clean snow 
- Food coloring in various shades 
- Squeeze bottles or droppers 
- Paper cones or cups - I used these sand ice cream toys! 
- Optional: sprinkles 
Steps:
- Collect Snow: Gather clean snow from your backyard or during a family outing. 
- Prepare Colors: Mix a few drops of food coloring with water in squeeze bottles or droppers. 
- Shape the Cones: Fill paper cones or cups with snow, packing it gently. 
- Add Colors: Let your kids drizzle the colored water over the snow, creating vibrant patterns. 
- Optional – Add Sprinkles: Just for fun! Note - we do not eat these, they’re pretend play snow cones!
