As a mom of two boys (2 & 4) we love learning through play. When I involve their interests, like cars and monster trucks, they are even more engaged. These activities are super simple to set up but so entertaining! Find our activity essentials here and our favorite cars and trucks here.
PAINTERS TAPE PARKING LOT
Make a parking lot using painters tape on the floor with your kids favorite monster trucks. It is the easiest activity to set up and my kids always ask to make it! Minimal effort, maximum entertainment.
NAME RECOGNITION WITH CARS
Save this activity for name recognition and pre-writing skills! Use painters tape to write the letters and a marker to make road lines. Ask your kids to use cars or trucks to follow their name!
EASY PAPER CAR TUNNELS
Car & Monster Truck Tunnels. For this activity all you need is paper and painters tape. Make it a challenge by seeing how many tunnels a car can make it through! Color paper is fun but regular paper works fine too. Simply cut paper in half, make a tunnel and secure with the painters tape.
CAR TAPE RESCUE
Simply use a muffin tin, some cars and painters tape. Ask your preschooler to cut the tape to rescue the vehicles. The mini cars I used are linked here
ROAD TRACING
Road tracing is a super fun way for car lovers to trace, match colors and develop pre-writing skills using cars. Trace around the shape of a car with one color on both ends of the paper, connect with a colored line. Repeat with different colors.
